Overview

Technical Review and the management of evaluation metrics and evaluation items used in Technical Review will be discontinued on Thursday, December 24, 2026. Until then, you can continue to use them as before.

Background

With the spread of generative AI, HireRoo is moving to AI Collaboration format tests and to the new report built around SEI. The perspectives your company values can now also be defined with the Skill Index. To focus our limited development resources on improving these, we have decided to discontinue Technical Review, in which evaluators score your own evaluation items and the scores are aggregated, and the evaluation metrics management used with it.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience to everyone who has been using these features.

Features being discontinued

Feature Description After discontinuation
Technical Review Opened from the "Technical Review" button on the test report. Multiple evaluators enter scores and comments for each evaluation item and review them together No longer available. The Interview Guide provides interview questions for each evaluation perspective and lets you keep interview notes
Evaluation metrics management Create and edit evaluation items and evaluation metrics from "Set Metrics" No longer available. Perspectives to check in interviews can be written in the Evaluation Perspective Sheet of the Interview Guide, and perspectives your company values can be written in your company version of the Skill Index

After discontinuation, the Technical Review screens will be removed, and the scores and comments you entered, as well as the evaluation items and evaluation metrics you created, will be deleted.

The "Interview Guide" shown on the test report is a separate feature from Technical Review and is not being discontinued. What you defined in evaluation items and evaluation metrics as "what to look for" can continue to be used in evaluation by writing it in the Evaluation Perspective Sheet of the Interview Guide. For each perspective, in-depth interview questions tied to the submission are prepared, and you can keep interview notes linked to each perspective. It is available for AI Collaboration format tests, and availability depends on your contract.

What we ask you to do

  1. Check which selection processes use Technical Review: Please check in which selection processes, and by whom, evaluations are being entered.
  2. Decide how to evaluate after discontinuation: Please consider moving your evaluation perspectives to the Evaluation Perspective Sheet of the Interview Guide and running evaluations with the Interview Guide after discontinuation.
  3. Check the scores and comments you want to keep: They cannot be viewed after discontinuation, and they cannot be exported or saved on your side. If you need them, please contact your Customer Success representative by Friday, December 18, 2026. HireRoo will export them and provide them to you.
  4. Review the content of the evaluation items and evaluation metrics you created: They can serve as material when creating the Evaluation Perspective Sheet of the Interview Guide or your company version of the Skill Index. If you need them, HireRoo will export and provide them in the same way as scores and comments.

FAQ

Q. Will Technical Review scores be carried over to SEI scores? A. No. Technical Review scores will not be converted into SEI scores.

Q. Will the evaluation items and evaluation metrics I created be moved to the Skill Index automatically? A. No. You will need to create them again as your company version of the Skill Index. Your company version can be created, edited, and published by members with Administrator or Manager permissions on the Professional plan or higher.

Q. Where should I write the perspectives I checked with evaluation items and evaluation metrics after discontinuation? A. Please write them in the Evaluation Perspective Sheet of the Interview Guide. For each perspective in the sheet, in-depth interview questions tied to the candidate's submission are generated, and interview notes can also be kept for each perspective. It is available for AI Collaboration format tests.

Q. Can my company version of the Skill Index be used to evaluate hiring tests? A. In Skill Interview, evaluations based on your company version of the Skill Index are reflected in the report.

Q. What happens to candidates whose selection process is not finished by December 24? A. After discontinuation, you will no longer be able to enter or view Technical Review for those candidates either. Because they cannot be exported or saved on your side, if there are evaluations you want to keep, please contact your representative by Friday, December 18, 2026. HireRoo will export them and provide them to you.
