Overview

Candidates can now check their current remaining AI usage balance directly from the exam screen during AI-collaborative exams. This helps them keep track of their AI usage and plan how to use the remaining amount throughout the exam.

Changes for Candidates

  • The exam screen header displays the AI usage limit minus the amount already used.
  • Hovering over the balance shows the remaining balance, usage limit, and amount used.
  • The display color changes as the balance runs low, making it easier to see when the usage limit is approaching.

Update Frequency and Behavior When the Limit Is Reached

  • The balance is updated once per minute. Changes may take some time to appear immediately after using AI.
  • Once the AI usage limit is reached, AI tools in the IDE will no longer be available.
  • Candidates can continue working in the editor and submit their test after AI tools become unavailable.

Impact for Employers

There are no changes to how AI usage limits are configured or to the information displayed in employer reports. Candidates will see the remaining balance based on the limit configured for each problem by the employer.
