Setting Up IP Address Restriction
On this page
Overview
IP address restriction limits access to the admin console to the IP addresses registered in your allow list. Use it when you want to allow access only from your corporate network or VPN.
- The restriction applies to access to the admin console by members of your company. The candidate test screen is not restricted.
- While the allow list is empty, IP address restriction is disabled.
Only members with Admin permission can configure IP address restriction.
Available Plan This feature is available on the Enterprise Plan.
Open IP Address Restriction
- Open Company Settings from the account icon in the upper right.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click IP address restriction.
Add an IP Address
- Click Add IP address.
- Enter the IPv4 address to allow, and click Add.
You can enter a single address such as 203.0.113.10, or a range in CIDR notation such as 203.0.113.0/24.
- IPv6 addresses cannot be registered.
- Ranges wider than
/8cannot be specified. - Register the first entry so that it includes the IP address you are currently accessing from. To prevent you from locking yourself out of the admin console, the allow list cannot exclude your current IP address.
The entry that includes your current IP address is labeled Current IP.
Delete an IP Address
Click Delete on the entry you want to remove.
- You cannot delete an entry if doing so would leave your current IP address outside the allow list.
- Deleting all entries disables IP address restriction.
When Accessing from a Network That Is Not Allowed
If you access the admin console from an IP address that is not in the allow list, "Access from this network is not allowed" is shown and you cannot use the admin console. Connect to an allowed network, then click Reload.
Notes
- If members work remotely or from outside the office, also register the IP addresses of the networks they use, such as the exit IP address of your VPN.
- Changes to the allow list may take several tens of seconds to take effect.
