Anti-Fraud Measures

What is Fraud?

In coding tests, the following are typical examples of what can be reliably called fraud;
  • Doubling an exam and having someone other than yourself answer the questions
  • Asking others to assist you while you are taking the test.
One thing they all have in common is that they are not answering independently. On the other hand, those that cannot be considered fraud but are judged according to different companies are as follows.
  • Responding using a search engine such as Google
  • Answering by supplementing with tools such as ChatGPT

These behaviours occur when you perform the necessary actions in actual work, although they are not based solely on your abilities. Some companies want to measure skills without relying on any tools.

How to Detect Suspicious Behavior

Many companies use the following methods to detect suspicious behavior.
  • Check the process of solving a problem with the playback function.
  • Check the copy and paste areas highlighted by the paste detection function.
  • Technical in-depth interview after coding exam; further oral in-depth interview based on HireRoo report.
Some features can be released and used.

Other features planned for release

Other features planned for the future are as follows (as of September 2023)
  • Ability to record mouse hover transitions outside the browser
  • Function to check if the person in question is present using the camera
  • Function to check if the examinee is the person himself/herself
In the future, we will establish a function to display suspicious behavior on HireRoo reports, so please stay tuned.
