What is Fraud?
In coding tests, the following are typical examples of what can be reliably called fraud;- Doubling an exam and having someone other than yourself answer the questions
- Asking others to assist you while you are taking the test.
- Responding using a search engine such as Google
- Answering by supplementing with tools such as ChatGPT
These behaviours occur when you perform the necessary actions in actual work, although they are not based solely on your abilities. Some companies want to measure skills without relying on any tools.
How to Detect Suspicious Behavior
Many companies use the following methods to detect suspicious behavior.- Check the process of solving a problem with the playback function.
- Check the copy and paste areas highlighted by the paste detection function.
- Technical in-depth interview after coding exam; further oral in-depth interview based on HireRoo report.
- Function to record events when tabs lose focus
- Ability to detect that code has been copied and pasted from an external source
- Ability to highlight and identify which part of the code is copied and pasted
- Ability to record IP addresses
