This article answers common questions about Skill Assessment measurement and Skill Development internal tests.

Does measurement affect my work?

How you use your AI tools does not change.

  • Requests from your AI tools to AI providers continue to go directly to the AI provider. HireRoo does not sit between AI tools and AI providers.
  • Your work does not stop even if HireRoo has an outage. Only the usage logs for that period are not recorded.
  • The hireroo CLI changes the settings used to send usage logs. All other settings stay as they are. For GitHub Copilot in VS Code, it also turns on the skill feature. For details, see "Effect on Your Existing Settings" in Setting Up Measurement (Installing the hireroo CLI).

Which AI tools are measured?

Claude Code, Codex CLI, and GitHub Copilot (Copilot CLI and VS Code) on the machine where you set up the hireroo CLI. Copilot CLI is not yet supported on Windows. After setup, sessions in these AI tools are measured automatically.

Is the content of my prompts stored?

Prompt text is stored temporarily for evaluation and deleted when evaluation finishes. However, excerpts of the prompts used for the evaluation (masked) are stored with the evaluation results as the basis for the evaluation. API keys, email addresses, and similar values are replaced with **** immediately after receipt.

Can other people see my measurement results?

  • Only you can see your own score and rank. Administrator and manager screens currently do not show individual members' scores, ranks, trends, or score breakdowns.
  • Administrators and managers can see organization-wide and team aggregates, and usage for each member (tokens used, cost, primary AI tool, last log, active hours, and so on).
  • Members without Administrator or Manager authorization cannot see other members' results.

I want to stop measurement

Ask your company administrator to End measurement.

  • After measurement is ended, AI tool usage is no longer recorded. Data and scores already measured are kept.
  • If an administrator Deletes you as a member, measurement stops and the data already measured is also deleted.

Neither action can be undone.

Running hireroo spider uninstall on your own machine stops usage logs from being sent from that machine and restores the settings to their values before setup. However, it does not remove you from measurement.

Do I need Skill Assessment measurement to take internal tests?

No. Internal tests are assigned separately from Skill Assessment measurement. For how to take them, see Taking an Internal Test.

Can other people see my internal test results?

The member who took the test can see only their own results. Only members with Administrator or Manager authorization can see other members' results.
