What is the playback function?

The playback function is a feature that allows you to see the process as well as the results of the test. It allows you to qualitatively evaluate a candidate's proficiency in coding, thinking skills, etc.

Contract plan: Standard and above

Advantages of using the playback function

Visualization of Thinking Process

The playback feature allows you to visualize how candidates write code and tackle problems over time. This helps you understand a candidate's thought process, sequencing, problem-solving, efficiency, and time management skills.

Qualitative Assessment

Evaluating the process as well as the test artifacts provides a deeper understanding of a candidate's proficiency in coding and thinking skills.

Improved fairness and stability of evaluation

The playback feature improves the fairness and stability of the evaluation process because it clearly shows how much time a candidate spent and what steps they took to solve problems.

Utilized for in-depth interviews

By confirming trial-and-error from the process before and after the timing of using hints, and by digging deeper in the interview to determine whether the candidate simply looked up the process when copy-pasting or checked the process in a different editor before pasting, it is possible to gain a deeper understanding of technical and thinking skills.

  • Dig deeper into the process before and after copy-pasting in the interview to grasp your abilities
  • Grasping weak points from areas where you got lost
  • Utilize the response process as an ice-breaker during the interview and provide feedback as appropriate to the attractiveness of the candidate

How to use the playback function

  • Go to the "Submit Code" section
    • Scroll down to the "Submitted Codes" section at the bottom of the Test Report screen. By default, "Submission Result" is selected, but you can check it by selecting "Playback".
  • Press the Playback Playback button
    • Playback can be played by pressing the Playback button in the lower left corner of the editor. All keystrokes are logged, so you can see the process of how the deliverable was created.
