HireRoo's 4 Question Types

Question Types

HireRoo offers four question formats depending on the knowledge and skills you wish to measure. When issuing the test, you can select the questions that best fit the candidate and the position for which he or she is being selected, and combine the different formats into a single test. The features of each format are described below.

Coding Format

The coding format includes "algorithm" (Python, JavaScript, etc.) and "database" (SQL) questions.

The questions range from those that test basic computer science knowledge to those that require complex processing, and can measure a candidate's coding skills, problem-solving and thinking skills, and communication skills (only during live coding).

Practical Format

This is a format in which candidates develop applications using frameworks. This is the best way to test whether or not you will be able to work immediately with the frameworks used by the company after you join the company.
In addition to knowledge and implementation of the framework, there are more practical questions such as implementation of unit tests and documentation in README files.

System Design Format

In the System Design format, you can assess a candidate's system design skills and their foundational knowledge of infrastructure.

Using a specialized drawing tool for system design, candidates are required to design and layout the entire system. Based on the defined requirements and constraints of each problem, they need to place the necessary components.
