Receive notifications via Slack

This section describes the Slack Notifications feature provided by HireRoo.
The Slack notification feature allows you to broadcast test events in real-time to a designated channel for a smoother candidate experience.

Required permissions: Administrator

Integration with Slack

  1. After logging in, press the icon in the upper right corner and click "Company Settings.

  2. Click on the "Notification Settings" tab on the "Company Settings" page to open the notification settings.

  3. Click the "Add to Slack" button to start Slack integration.

  4. Select the channels you want to be notified about and click the "Allow" button.

  5. After the redirection, check the "Notification Settings" again and you will see the following screen.

This completes the linkage with Slack. After integration, you will be able to configure detailed settings, such as the events you want to be notified about, the language you want to be notified in, and the notification channel.

Detailed Settings for Slack Notifications

After Slack integration, you can go to "Company Settings > Notification Settings" to change the events you want notified, the language of the notifications, and the channels you want to be notified about.

Notification Channel Settings

To change the notification channel, click on the "Re-engage" button at the bottom of the screen. Clicking the button will take you to the Slack screen, where you can select the new channel you want to be notified about and click the "Allow" button to redirect you back to the HireRoo app.

Notification Language Settings

The supported languages are Japanese and English. The language can be set by pressing the "Edit" button to enter the edit mode, and the settings can be saved by pressing the "Save" button.

Notification Event Settings

The following events are subject to notification.

For tests

  • Test creation (when a test is created by the interviewer)
  • Test completion (when a test is completed by a candidate)
  • Test Review (when the test is reviewed)
  • Test Evaluation (when the test is passed or failed by the interviewer)
  • Test Withdrawal (when a candidate submits a test after the due date has passed before answering the questions)
  • Retest (when a retest is issued by the interviewer)

For the interview

  • Interview Preparation (when the interview is prepared by the interviewer)
  • Waiting for the interview (when the candidate is waiting at the interview site)
  • Start of interview (when the interview is initiated by the candidate)
  • End of interview (when the interview is terminated by the candidate)
  • During interview review (when the interview is reviewed)
  • Interview Evaluation (when the interview is rated as pass/fail by the interviewer)
  • Delete Interview (when the interview is deleted by the interviewer)

Press the "Edit" button to enter the edit mode, select the events you wish to be notified of or ignore, and press the "Save" button to save the settings.
