①Starting an Interview
- Find the interview you wish to start on the home screen or in the list, and click "▶" to the right of the interview name, or "▶ Start Interview" at the top of the test summary screen.
- A pop-up window will be displayed, so please click "Start".
- The candidate will not be able to open the interview screen until the interviewer starts.
②Conducting the Interview
When using video call
- To use HireRoo's video call feature, press the "Video Call" button in the upper right corner of the screen.
- A pop-up will appear and press "Join" to connect.
- Allow your browser access to the camera and microphone as appropriate.
- You can configure the input device and noise cancellation in "Settings".
- There is no virtual background or recording function. Playback does not include the content of the video call.
- Candidates can also be connected with the same operation; it is recommended to inform the candidate in advance that the above operation will be performed after the test starts to facilitate the use of HireRoo's video call feature.
- Up to 8 people can be connected at the same time. If more than one interviewer will be in charge of the interview, please open and connect the interview by operating ① respectively. Please note that the "copy mark" button at the top of the interview screen is the URL for the candidate.
Using the chat function
- You can use HireRoo's chat function. Please use the "Chat" tab on the right side of the screen.
- The contents of the chat will be visible to all participants. (There is no function to send chats only to specific people.) Also, please note that all chats will be visible even if you participate in an interview after they have been sent.
- Please note that the content of the chat is not recorded and cannot be viewed in the playback.
Question Selection
- two types of questions can be submitted in an interview
- Coding format: You can use an editor to code the questions.
- System design format: You can design a system using a drawing tool.
- The candidate's screen and the interviewer's screen are synchronized. Please note that when you select a language or question, the candidate's screen will also switch.
※The evaluation items on the right side of the screen are not visible to the candidate. - It is also possible to use the blank editor or the drawing tool without selecting any questions.
③Adding and deleting questions
New questions can be freely added or deleted during the interview. This is useful for adding new questions in addition to the pre-selected ones, or for changing the questions.
Adding a Question
- Click on the "+" button on the right side of the issue tab.
- Create a new session: You can create a blank session by selecting the Code Editor or the Drawing Tool.
- Create a problem created on HireRoo: a pop-up will appear and you can select the problem you wish to add.
Deleting a Question
Press the "X" to the right of the question name in the tab for the question you wish to delete.
③Ending the interview
- To end the interview, press the "End Interview" button in the upper right corner of the screen. When a pop-up will appear, click "Yes".
- Please note that if any one of the test subjects participating in the interview performs the exit operation, the interview will be terminated and the candidate will be asked to leave the interview on the candidate's side of the screen as well. If you wish to exit first, please close the tab or window.
