Start the interview
- After receiving a link from the company you are applying to, open the exam link in your browser. After carefully reading the instructions, mark the checkboxes for the instructions, enter your name, and click the "Participate in Interview" button.
- If the interview has not yet started, you will be redirected to the waiting screen. When the company starts live coding, you will be automatically redirected to the test screen. Therefore, please wait in the standby screen until the interview starts.
Conducting the interview
When using a video call
- To use HireRoo's video call feature, press "Video Call" in the upper right corner of the screen.
- A pop-up will appear. Press "Join" to connect.
- Allow your browser access to the camera and microphone.
- You can configure the input device and noise cancellation in "Settings".
- There is no virtual background function or recording function.
Using the Chat Function
- It is possible to use HireRoo's chat function. Please use it from the "Chat" section on the right side of the screen.
- Please note that all chat content will be visible even if participates join in an interview after it has been sent.
- Chat content is not recorded.
Question Format
There are two types of questions. Either one or both types of questions will be asked.
- Coding Format
- In the coding format, you will write code together with the company interviewer. You choose the language and write the code.

- What you are writing is reflected to the interviewer in real time, and you can see what each other is editing through the UI.
- System Design Format
- In the system design format, you design the system together with the interviewers from the company. You choose your favorite cloud vendor to design the system.
- Co-editing is supported, so you can see through the UI where each other is editing.
End of Interview
- The interview is ended by the interviewer. When the interview is finished, the screen will transition automatically.
