About Google Calendar Integration (Interview Feature) (en)
By linking live coding (interview function) with Google Calendar and having a bot present during interviews, you can use AI evaluation.
[Benefits of collaboration]
- AI evaluation is now available : AI evaluation was previously available through video calls on HireRoo, but it can now also be used through Google Meet and Zoom.
- No operational changes required: If you are conducting interviews via Google Meet or Zoom, you can simply link it to your schedule.
- Automatically send live coding URL: A live coding URL will be automatically sent to interviewers and candidates via Google Calendar.
Step 1: Setting up Google Calendar integration (first time only)
First, link your HireRoo account with your Google account. This setting is only required the first time.
- Click the account icon in the top right corner of the HireRoo screen and select "Personal Settings."
- On the Personal Settings screen, click the "Integration" tab.
- Click the "Connect Google Calendar" button.
- You will be taken to the Google authentication screen. Select the Google account you want to link.
- You will be asked for permission to access HireRoo, so check the details and click "Allow" .
- Return to the HireRoo screen and when you see the message "Successfully linked to Google Calendar," the setup is complete.
Step 2: Create an interview and schedule a date and time
Next, create a live coding (interview) and set the date and time using Google Calendar integration.
- Click "Interview List" from the side menu and press the "+ Create Interview" button.
- Select "Create New" .
- Set the interview title, candidate name, questions, etc.
- Scroll down the screen and select the interviewer's account as "Interviewer" in the "Google Calendar Settings" section.
- The linked Google Calendar will be displayed.
- ①Select a date .
- ② Select the interview slot you would like to conduct from the schedules registered for that day .
- It is assumed that you have scheduled interviews in Google Calendar. Once you have completed the necessary settings, click "Next" to proceed to the confirmation screen.
- Check that the settings (especially the Google Calendar date and time and meeting link) are correct, and then click the "Create" button.
Step 3: Check your Google Calendar
Creating an interview will update the event in your selected calendar
- Open your connected Google Calendar and confirm that the interview link has been added to the selected event. (AI evaluation will be available based on the meeting audio for that event.)
- Candidate Link: This is the link to the interview screen that candidates will access.
- Interviewer link: A link to the interview screen that the interviewer will access.
This completes the interview setup using Google Calendar integration.
